Several years ago a small group of friends decided to follow their passion for educating about wildlife, stewardship, and our amazing city, and after much work and learning, New York Nature Mobile was founded on April 22, 2022. As we celebrate our second year, we know none of this would have been possible without our amazing board of directors, incredibly generous donors, our diligent pro bono lawyers, and many others who have given their support in various ways. Thank you!

In our first two years we have had thousands of participants come to our pop-up science programs, and visit us at community events. It has been a joy to see how excited and concerned New Yorkers are about their wildlife. People have done hands-on science exploration, discovered what they can do to help New York’s diverse habitats, and shared wonderful stories about what the city’s wildlife means to them.
