New York Nature Mobile brings the wonders of New York’s wildlife to the classroom. Students will make discoveries with our engaging classes about the diverse creatures that share our great city.

Aquatic Mammals of NY
In this program, explore both marine and freshwater mammals that live in and around New York City. Students will discover the adaptations that benefit these mammals in their watery worlds, and create a food web to visualize how dependent they are on healthy environments.

Fish City
This program has students discovering the diverse fish that inhabit the waters around New York City from sharks to sea horses. Students will learn where American eels begin their migration journey, what special adaptations make sharks such excellent predators, and how sea horses differ from so many other species.

Furry Urban Neighbors!
Students will learn about mammals that share our neighborhoods, including bats, raccoons, and rabbits. How do bats find their food in the dark? Why do rabbits have such big ears? What do these animals eat? Through the creation of a food web students will discover similarities and differences in the diets of these urban inhabitants.

Invertebrates Everywhere!
Invertebrates are everywhere! They swim, fly and dig. Students will discover how these animals protect themselves, the incredible journeys some take, and what benefits they provide to our soil.

Feathered and Fabulous!
Crows, eagles, hawks, vultures, herons and hummingbirds can all be seen in our city! During this program students will explore the adaptations that help these animals survive, how they keep their eggs safe, what they eat, and the dangers they may encounter.
Program Pricing and Details:
All programs for school program participants incorporate hands-on, STEM activities and station based discoveries that encourage cooperative learning. The programs are geared toward participants in K-5th grade. The programs are an hour long, and can accommodate 30 participants. A minimum of 3 programs must be booked per visit.
Each program is $200 when booked on Staten Island; in other boroughs there is an additional $25 fee to cover travel expenses.

Cancellation Policy:
Programs canceled up to 3 weeks before the scheduled program receive a refund of 75% of the program fee. Cancellations between 2 and 3 weeks of the scheduled program will receive a refund of 50% of the program fee. Programs canceled between 1 and 2 weeks before the scheduled program will receive a refund of 25% of the program fee. Any programs canceled within a week of the program date will receive no refund.
We always try our best to reschedule any canceled programs.
