New York Nature Mobile brings the wonders of New York’s wildlife to senior centers and nursing homes with our engaging programs about the diverse creatures that share our great city.

  • Marine Mammals of the Big Apple

    Ferry boats and barges aren’t the only things found in New York’s waters. Learn about the mammals that can be found in the waters around our city, what we have in common, how they survive, and more during Marine Mammals of the Big Apple. Whales, dolphins, and seals are closer than you think!

  • Nocturnal New York

    It’s not just people who enjoy the nightlife in NY, the city’s wildlife is just as active! This program highlights some of the animals that are uniquely adapted to life in our bustling city including raccoons, opossums, and bats.

  • Oysters and New York: Entwined Throughout History

    Explores the long relationship inhabitants of New York City have had with oysters, and how this relationship has impacted both humans and the oyster population.

  • Amphibians of the Empire State

    We may not see them, but they sure make their voices heard! Get an intimate look at the mysterious and vulnerable frogs and salamanders in our midst. What makes these animals unique? Why are they so vulnerable? These and other questions are answered during this program.

  • Fabulous Fish

    Do sharks live in our waters? How are seahorses helped by the males giving birth? Are American eels lifelong residents of New York? These and other questions are answered during this program.

  • Fine Feathered Friends

    Did you know that New York sits on the North Atlantic Flyway? This makes New York a major stop for migrating birds each spring & fall. In this program, learn about hawks, falcons, cormorants, herons and hummingbirds– just some of the migrating birds that can all be found in New York City.

  • New York Nature Mobile Bingo

    A fun twist on a popular game. Participants win prizes as they learn about New York's diverse wildlife that shares our city.

Pricing and Program Details:

All adult programs include tactile components and activities. The programs are an hour long, and can accommodate 35 participants.

Each program is $200 when booked on Staten Island; in other boroughs there is an additional $25 fee to cover travel expenses.

Cancellation Policy:

Programs canceled up to 3 weeks before the scheduled program receive a refund of 75% of the program fee. Cancellations between 2 and 3 weeks of the scheduled program will receive a refund of 50% of the program fee. Programs canceled between 1 and 2 weeks before the scheduled program will receive a refund of 25% of the program fee. Any programs canceled within a week of the program date will receive no refund.
